Investing Thoughts

Alright, I found some time to finally make an entry on this blog of mine. For the past couple of weeks, I've been really thinking about investing my money on either stocks or the forex (foreign exchange) market. I've always known about the stock market and in actuality, I've started to read a couple of books about it and to tell you folks the truth, it's not as hard as some people claim it to be. Sure, there are all sorts of research you have to do in order to find a good investment for your money, but I really thought it was going to be an overwhelming experience but thankfully it's not. I've listed a couple of books before here on my blog. Actually if you look at the upper left corner, you will see that I've posted Jim Cramer's book as one of the books to read this year. He's a very funny guy and I've been watching his show on CNBC and actually like it. Granted, I am still getting to know the stock lingo, but it's very informative. I've also been fiddling around this website called Motley Fool. It's a pretty good website and they focus more on the "buy and hold" cliche of stock investing. As far as the Forex is concerned, I've dabbled with a few systems. Hmm...maybe I'll do some reviews as well...but anyways, I believe I may have a found a pretty good system to trade the forex but from what I understand, the forex market is a very volatile market. You can lose your money pretty quick if you don't know what the heck you're doing. The only drawback I see is that it's hard to find a good, honest and reliable forex broker. I'm hearing that most of these "bucketshops" brokers are only in it to take your money. They stop hunt you and are only nice as long as you're losing money. As soon as you start to profit, they mess with you account or start cancelling your orders. So this is going to be a good challenge for me. Well, guess that's it for now. I haven't given up on Internet marketing or making money online programs. This blog is about making money so I'll post whatever can make me or should I say "US" some money. I don't know about you, but all I gotta say is that this world is full of dummies! I mean, the next time you visit your local bookstore, count how many "Dummies manual" you can find. Good luck! Need help understanding how a PC works? Grab a "PC for Dummies" guide. How about learning a new language like swahili, I'm pretty sure there's a "Swahili for Dummies" guide as well. I was even dumbfounded when I saw a Dummies guide on putting aftermarket car and gear to your car. Crazy huh? Well, it seems like no matter what subject you are interested in, there's a Dummy guide to lead you all the way. Which is no surprise that I came upon this little website called "Blogging for Dummies!" yay! GC Detective Update

I just recently finished the book and all I have to say is that it is one bad ass book. I know that people who have become successful have read the book and applied the techniques described in it. I'm sure that by now you've heard of Chris Carpenter, the author who started it all when he released his program called Google Cash way back in 2003. For those that have been unsuccessful in PPC, think about this. How would you like to: Promote affiliate programs that you know are going to make you money? Google Alert, Google Alert!

I've been using Google Alert for quite some time now and I was surprised when Kyle and Carson revealed this method on their Who Loves Money e-book. If you haven't heard, Google Alert is a good way for finding niches! It's one of the methods I use when I want to find out more about a particular industry or a particular niche. Here's how it works. When you find a niche that you're interested in, say for example Honda Civic. All you have to do is go to Google Alert and fill out four little boxes. Search term: this is where you put your niche. In our case Honda Civic Type: there's 5 different sources here. (news, blogs, groups, web, comprehensive). Basically what this is asking you is where do you want your sources to come from. I always choose "comprehensive" because I believe it's a combination of all the sources How often: here you get to choose how often you want it delivered to you. You have a choice of once a day, once a week or as it happens. The choice is yours Email addy: just type in your email. Viola! You're done. Now depending on how often you wanted it to be delivered, you just sit back and wait for Google to send you some info. I've found some great niches using this method and even other interesting stuff. I honestly don't know what we would do without the web. It's made life so much easier. Everything you ever wanted to know is literally right on our fingertips! I hope this information was helpful. Delete Your Adwords Account

Of course we all know about Google Adwords otherwise you wouldn't be here reading my blog. You might even have your own money making blog. But, before I get carried away, I just wanted to let you know that if you are struggling with your campaigns either because your keywords are inactive or Google wants you to bid tons of money (like $10 per keyword) then there is help...but and this is a big BUT only if you've had your account for a while. Let me elaborate a little. A couple of years ago, more like 2002, after I got out of the military, I spent a couple of weeks at home being lazy. Hey, after 4 freaking years in the ARMY, I think I deserved a break right? Well, anyways, I was surfing online and saw this ad for paid surveys. That peeked my curiousity and from then on, I was hooked on the different ways of making money online. To make a long story short (I'm going to Vegas in a couple of hours, so I have to make this short), I got involved with Google Adwords after I joined this program by this dude named Howie Moore or something like that. Anyways, his program (which doesn't exist anymore) was about advertising to millions of people using free resources. Yeah right! I was naive and didn't know the things I know now, so I bought it and it was crap! But, he did have a learning resource center and he talked about Google Adwords and how it's the best way to make money online. So he provided me with products to sell (which was his own) and also provided me with keywords and PPC campaigns to put in my Adwords account. Well, like I said, I didn't know what the heck I was doing, so I copied and pasted everything and started to promote his credit repair ebook. I didn't know that I had to monitor those campaigns in a daily basis. Needless to say, a month went by and I had a couple of sales that totaled about $200. Not bad for a beginner. BUT...guess how much my advertising cost was? Over $1,000 dollars. It LITERALLY wiped out my bank account. In fact I had overdraft charges for that month. I was heartbroken and broke at the same time and I didn't touch that account for about a year. From then on, I bought more Adwords stuff and got my education on. When I felt I was comfortable with it, I started my account and created a bunch of different campaigns that didn't even make me a cent. My CTR (click through rate) was really bad. I barely cracked the 1% mark on all my campaigns. So basically I sucked! Then in 2005 or 2006, we all heard about the Google Slap. That hit hard to a lot of affiliate marketers. I started a couple more campaigns and to my surprise, Google wanted me to bid at the least $10 freaking dollars for my keywords. I said HELL NO! so I paused all my campaigns. It wasn't until I bought Adwords Miracle and the Profit Lance did I realize that Google keeps track of all the data in your Adwords account. So, even though I deleted all my prior campaigns, I still had poor CTR and QS (quality score) when I started new ones, so Google rewards me by giving me high keyword bids because according to my history, I sucked. Thanks Google! No matter how much I tried to group my common keywords or make my landing page relevant, I was still getting bitch slapped (pardon me) left and right. So what did I do? I deleted my old account and created a new one. All I did was change my email and my billing info. Google still allows you to reactivate your old account if you want but why would I want to do that? So, right now I only have one campaign going which is doing great for me and it's the same campaign that Google wanted me to pay $10 for whereas by creating a new one, I'm only paying $0.40. In fact, it's doing pretty well and my average position is about a 2 so I'm really just paying $0.28 now. Not bad huh? So, the MORAL of the story is, do your research and study about what you want to learn in life. Always remember that there are no such things as "get rich quick" schemes. Everything takes hard work and dedication just like any other job. Sorry to burst your bubble. Ok, this turned out way longer than I expected and I have to hit the road. Remember, just because your having a bad campaign doesn't mean that you can just delete your account right away and open a new one. Especially if you barely opened your account. I had mine since 2002 and I made over 50 different campaigns. So you need to give it some time. Personally, if you're having a bad time with your Adwords campaigns, I suggest you pause all of them and learn everything there is to learn about Google Adwords then apply those techniques to improve your scores. Don't just close and open new accounts. Trust me, Google will catch up with you. Try to have your account at least for a couple of years before you delete and start a new one otherwise just do your best to improve your CTR and QS. I advice you to only close and open a new account once because Google will suspect something about fishy going on and they will find you and might even ban you. That's just my guess. So be careful. I hope you learned something from my mistake. I really gotta go. Time to spend my hard earned money on the blackjack tables this weekend. Wish me luck guys! I just found this site called TheFreeSite.com and it's pretty cool. They have all kinds of different ways to spice up your blog. Death of Adsense?

I've noticed that a lot of bloggers are getting banned from Adsense. Why is that? Most of them are saying that they don't even get an explanation as to why they are getting banned. That sucks big time. I hope I don't get the same treatment even though I'm not really getting much from them. So far, I've only accumulated a mere $2 since I started using them. Yeah I know that ain't much, but that's $2 I didn't have before so I'm ok with it. Plus, the only real way to get money from Adsense is by building hundreds of sites with poor content and adsense ads all over it. Why the poor content? Well, the main purpose of these sites is for you to click on the ads not read what the site has to say. Pretty clever? You tell me. Anyways, so I did some searching on the web and I came upon this Adsense ad called "The Death of Adsense" Anyone heard of it? It's composed of 4 FREE reports on how Adsense is just not as profitable as before. I read them all and it's pretty interesting as to what the author has to say. He basically states how he use to make thousands from Adsense and now barely make a couple of hundred. I don't know about you, but I'd kill to make a couple hundred from Adsense alone. But after further reading, I noticed that this author, Scott Boulch, who likes to be called the "Nada Guru" since he believes he's not a guru, is actually marketing his own method of making money online. It's called the clickflipping method. This is the first time I've heard of this but from what I understand, it's using Google Adwords with keyword tracking. So basically, they offer you their own method of tracking profitable keywords so that you can have a more profitable campaign. It all sounds good and they do offer 2 membership sites. One of them is called the ClickFlipping Group or something but it is way too expensive. I don't remember the exact price but I know you have to pay a one time fee to join and a monthly fee after that which is in the hundreds. Hell No! They do offer another site called "Life After Adsense" and the monthly fee is $49 a month. That's still pretty expensive so I don't know. What do you guys think? Should I try it out? Dayjob Killer and Guru Slayer For Free?

Yes you read that right. I actually found a way to get the Dayjob Killer for free! How about the recently released Guru Slayer? Got that one free too. Now I finished reading both and I have to say that I'm glad I didn't get all caught up in the hype when these two products were released. No offense to the author of DayJob Killer Chris McNeeney, I loved his prior books Adwords Miracle and Affiliate Project X, but DayJob killer just didn't live up to all the hype he claimed in the sales page. One example is he supposedly found a new way of making money again using the direct linking method with Google Adwords. In my opinion, he didn't. I was truly disappointed in that. He also said he found a way of getting around the so called "Google Slap." Once again, I was let down. The technique he described is not so great. If you do it right, you might make some money, but then again, if you don't, then you lose money. So you have to be careful and know what the heck you're doing and if you're a beginner, you'd be lost. I did learn a couple of new things like how to use someone else's product against them and even some offline advertisisng, but for the most part, I'm glad I didn't shell out the $97 it cost to get this book. As for the Guru Slayer, the technique he described I already knew so it was nothing new to me. His salespage did have a good look to it or maybe it was just the dragon. oh well, I'm just glad I didn't spend the $77 for the same info I already knew. Well, there's a couple more ebooks you can get for free but I'm not gonna list them all here. You're just gonna have to find out yourself. Also, these are just for the ebooks themselves, you don't get the bonuses offered or anything else. You basically get the main product. Nothing more nothing less. What Is Up With This Pop Up?

So what the heck is up with this little annoying pop up that keeps asking me for my username and password everytime I need to access my dashboard? I don't know about you guys but this is not normal and I already fell for it once but not twice. If you notice, even if you input your username and password, it still keeps popping up. So I clicked cancel and it went away and I got to my dashboard just fine. I logged out and signed on again and the same freaking pop up came out so I cancelled it again. I noticed that everytime I need to access my dashboard, that pop up comes up. I didn't feel good about this so I immediately changed my password since you don't know if this is just a glitch on blogger's part or some hacker trying to get access to my account. My advice is for you guys to change your password at least just in case. I know I did. Does anyone have a clue or answer as to why this is happening?

UsFreeAds Tutorial - Bum Marketing Method

If you guys didn't get a hold of Travis' Bum Marketing Method, (found here) then you are really missing out on some good information here on how to make money online for FREE! I found out a couple of days ago that Travis is a member of Wealthy Affiliates also so that was awesome. If you don't know his method, he basically attacks keywords by writing articles about them. That's the best way of getting FREE advertising. So like I said in my prior posts, I get a lot of newsletter and since I trust this guy, I checked out his video on how to make money using UsFreeAds. If you guys don't know, UsFreeAds is an advertising site and Google loves this site...hmm wonder why? (a little sarcasm there). You'll find out why once you visit their website. Well, after viewing his video, which is his first one by the way, I was amazed. The only thing is that you're gonna have to pay a membership fee every month. I believe it's like $9 a month. It's the only way for you to be able to put links in your ads. Otherwise, you can join for free but you can't add your affiliate links, so that sucks. Who knows, if you follow his method, you can easily pay for that membership even if you sell one product a month. Like I said, Google loves this site so you can be sure you're ads will be seen. Guess that's it for now. Some people still have actual jobs here like me...boo! Oh well, maybe in time, I'll be able to get up when I want and sleep all day. You think? Affilorama Newsletter Tells It All

I get too much newsletters in my Inbox everyday! I hate it but that's my fault since I do subscribe to everybody and their mama when it comes to making money online. Most of them are just crap and just another way to upsell another guru's program so they all pretty much end up getting deleted. I don't even know how I got to this page that I'm about to show you guys but I'm glad I did. For once, this guys newsletter is worth it. Trust me on this. All you do is sign up and you get his 6 part mini course on how to get started as an affiliate. They're all on video so that's way cool. I would say that even though most of the stuff he talked about I already knew, I bet that you will still learn a thing or two even if you're already a seasoned Internet Marketer. I know I did. I bought the Profit Lance System a couple of months ago. Just like the Affiliate Allstar system, this system was created by Michael Andrews. As you read this review, you’ll see how different this course is compared to other money making products out there. As a lot of you know, I spend my hard earned money purchasing different marketing products out there and do reviews on them to see if their techniques work. The Profit Lance is no exception. If you browse around the forums I told you guys about, you will notice that most of them members that bought the Profit Lance are satisfied with it and as far as I’m concerned, this system can work for you if you put the techniques to work. This is definitely not a scam. I also noticed that the price has increased since the last time I bought this. The cost is now $77. So without further ado, let’s get down to the nitty gritty. I’ve emailed him numerous times and he has always responded very quickly, sometimes within hours. You don’t find that very often. Some marketers are saying that you can make money within hours of purchasing Profit Lance. That’s not being realistic, you shouldn't get into this course with that kind of a mindset. Or any course for that matter. What you're paying for is an education in making money online. Depending on the skills that you currently have it’s going to take time before you start making money simply because there are tons of materials and information to absorb. This is the only drawback I see, although don’t let that deter you. There are times when you might feel like you’re lost. But no worries, the author has made lots of updates since then and has even implemented videos of his own telling his students what to do first. As you all know, I am a member of the Wealthy Affiliate, but what you guys don't know is that we are going to be releasing a new book entitled "Who Loves Money." Free IQ Marketplace Blows YouTube Away

Hello fellow money making friends. I have some great news here. One of these so called "gurus" emailed me something very useful last night. Normally, I don't really pay attention to their newsletters since I am bombarded with them everyday. I subscribed to a lot of them and most of the mail I receive are just promotions to their new money making product or they try to upsell me some other "guru's" product. So anyways, I want you guys to check this website out. It's called FreeIQ Marketplace and it is a place full of free stuff. And I mean FREE stuff! You can get ebooks and marketing videos for free. But before I go on, let me tell you guys a little more about this FreeIQ site. It's a site owned by Brad Fallon, one of the leaders in Web 2.0 and search marketing. It's still in BETA version but I can see a lot of potential here and I hope you guys will too. This site acts like a Google search engine. At the top of the page, you will see a Search Bar. All you do now is type in your keywords like: "make money," "blogging," "how to make money online," "Seo techniques" just like you would normally do in Google, but here's the best part, instead of getting links to different websites in the results page, you get pdf, video and audio files for FREE! You can use them however you want, whether you want keep it for yourself or post it on your blog or website and make money of it. How do you make money with it? You see, this site has an affiliate program that allows you to embed video on any site you want just like YouTube. But when the person goes to the site and makes a purchase, you get paid. That's right... You get paid for promoting other peoples videos. On top of that, there is a 1 year cookie so you know you're bound to get paid. The more popular your video, the more views you have. More views equals higher ratings which equals more money in your pocket. You also have the option of uploading your own videos, audio and pdf files. So what I want you guys to do now is head on over to FreeIQ and test it out yourself. I've already downloaded ebooks that I would have otherwise paid for and watched a couple of videos with good info. And one thing to note here is that these videos are high quality and are not your lame demo videos. Some of them can range from 10min to an hour and the beauty of all this is that it's free. Are You A Wealthy Affiliate?

It's been a busy week for me and so I haven't gotten around to blogging as much. Although I will tell you guys that a couple of days ago, I recently joined an affiliate community called Wealthy Affiliate. Have you heard of them? Well basically it's a member's only website created by Kyle and Carson, the creators of Beating Adwords and I must say I am pretty impressed by the quality and content of the member's area. Here's a screenshot of the website. I've known about this for a while but the fact that you have to pay a $29 membership fee every month is what kept me from joining. I'm glad to say that it is totally worth it and after reading some of the materials enclosed, I can safely say that I will probably be a member here for the long haul. What I like especially about this website is that it has it's own forum. Here you will find all kinds of tips, tricks and everything else you want to know about. I've browsed a couple of them and already I've learned some cool new tricks. Their main subject here is Google Adwords but they have way more content on different areas of affiliate marketing. Lots of tutorials and some videos on how to build websites/landing pages, pay per click, Adcopy writing, SEO techniques, building a mailing list, etc etc. I could go on and on but there is just too many to mention. They also have tons of researching and marketing tools to help you get started. I love it!! I'm not here to persuade anyone to join. I'm just venting (in a good way) because I finally found a community of people in the same position as me and everybody helps each other out. I just wished I'd joined sooner because it would have save me a whole lot of money instead of spending them on useless ebooks and authors that don't respond back to you...know what I mean? FREE Blogger Templates

We all know that it pays to be different especially when it comes to blogging. Everybody has their own styles and layouts and it's nice to see different blogs with cool designs. You can even learn and implement some of the styles and designs you see out there. So I went around the internet to look for FREE blogger templates hoping that you guys can get creative out there. But before I give out the links, read my tips first before you start downloading your new template. First and foremost, SAVE (very important here) your original layout just in case you need to change it back. You can do this by logging into your account and clicking on: layout edit html Download Full Template (save it to where you can find it later. I usually just save it on my desktop) If you have all kinds of scripts, codes and widgets on your "Page Elements" page, make sure you save those to Notepad because they might get deleted when you upload you new template. Trust me, I wish someone told me this before I changed mine. Next, go to the template you want to download and "right click" on it and depending on the browser that you're using, you're gonna either use "save target as" or "save link as." Save that template to where you can find it, like I said, it's better if you save it on your desktop that way it's easy to find. Go back to your "Edit html" page and click on "Browse," look for your saved template, and click "upload" Your new template should automatically show on your template page. If you saved your old template and you had scripts and widget codes in there, hopefully you know where they are located and just stick them on your new template. Click on "preview" and make sure you like how it looks. If you do, then just click "save template." Go to your "Page Elements" page and copy and paste your old codes, java scripts and widgets once again. Preview your blog and save everything. That's it, congratulations! Hopefully things turned out ok. Always make sure you preview your layout before saving it. And please, please, please, don't forget to save your old template!!! Adsense Not Clicking For Me

No pun intended there in my title but I don't know what is going on with my Adsense account. As you all know, I'm part of MyBlogLog and being a member of that community, I get to check my site stats and also figure out where my visitors are clicking. I've seen my visitors clicking on my Adsense ads, particularly my text link ads near the header and when I check my Adsense account, I don't get credit for it. In fact, it says zero clicks for the month of April even though I know that my visitors have clicked on it already. Does it take a certain amount of time before it is posted in my account? I'm so frustrated! Grrr...!!! What is up with that? What am I doing wrong? Should I contact Adsense and tell them my problem or will that just make it worse? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Investing 101-Tips To Avoid Before Investing

Before you start to invest your overtime money, there are some points I want you to look at before you invest. These are common mistakes that many people make when they first start to invest. Don't let this be you. Read on and educate yourself. 1. Not Taking Action. You're not gonna earn money by being a bum. If you're looking for a nice chunk of money when you retire, you better act fast. Although there is no guarantee that the market will go up when you first invest, I can guarantee you one thing: Doing nothing at all will not provide for a comfortable retirement. 2. Starting Late. The earlier you start the better off you are. Enough said! 3. Get Rid of Your Credit Card Debt First. If you have money in your savings account and you have revolving debt on your credit card, pay it off. You need to pay off your debt first before you even think about investing. What's the use of investing your money if you need it to pay for your credit card bills? You won't save money that way. It just means that you'll be paying down your credit card forever. Do you really want that? 4. Short Term Investing. Only invest money for the short term if you're really going to need that money fast. That means if you plan on taking a vacation or thinking of buying a new car, you invest in short term. This can usually be accomplished by putting your money in a money market fund or CDs (Certificate of Deposit). Invest money in the stock market that you won't need for at least three years, maybe even five years or longer. 5. Turning Down Free Money. If I gave you $100 for no reason at all with no strings attached, would you take it? Of course! No one likes to turn down free money, but that's exactly what you are doing if you're not participating in your companys 401(k) or similar retirement savings plan. Take advantage of all tax-advantaged, employer-matched savings programs. 6. Investing Safe. If you're young, most of your investing dollars should be in the stock market because you have enough time to weather the storm in case the market goes down. You'll be able to recover and reap the rewards of long-term gains. As you get older, you don't want to risk as much so you may want to transition into bonds since your source of income will come from these investments as well, but overall, stocks should make up a large portion of the portfolio of every investor. 7. Playing Scared. Not every investment is for everyone. Even if you're a daredevil, you shouldn't pour all of your money into something that could end up going down the drain. This is where researching your investments really count. Research everything before you invest in anything, whether it be stocks, bonds or mutual funds. 8. Collectibles or Lottery Tickets are not Investments. If your Superman or Spiderman mint collection of comic books, Baseball cards or your grandpa's vintage WW2 watch could be used to fund retirements, do you think the stock market would exist? Heck no! Don't make the mistake of thinking your jewelry, those Beanie Babies, or the lottery will provide for you in your later years because they won't. You're just wasting your money. 9. Trading In and Out of the Market. I believe that the best approach to investing is to invest for the long run. Pick your investments wisely and you'll reap the rewards over the long term that you had ever dreamed possible. Trading in and out of the market will only hurt you and you'll be bombarded with fees that will slowly eat away at your returns. Eventually, you'll miss out on gains that long-term investors enjoy with much less effort. Keep this in mind before investing and you will have no problems once you start. Happy Easter to all you fellow money making friends! Today is a busy day for me. Lots of people to see and of course, my favorite, lots of food to eat...yes! I've seen an increase in my readers and they have all kinds of cool widgets that you can install on your page. I especially like the widget where you get to see which one of your fellow myblogloggers recently visited your page. You can see them on my sidebar there on your left. Tag Your Posts

I'm just gonna keep this post short, but as all you bloggers know, tagging your posts can lead to more traffic. Now don't get keywords and tags confused because they are two different things. When you search for keywords, the results you get are the keywords within a content of a webpage. Whereas tags are elements that have been specifically applied to the post by the author which means a more precise results. With that said, I use to manually type my tags each time I finished my posts and sometimes when you have more than one, it can be time consuming. So I found a shortcut to tagging my posts. Yeah, I know, you're probably thinking, "I've heard about these techniques already, what more is there?" Well, my friend. All I have to say is give it a try. It's not like you're paying for it anyways and if you find that you don't like (which I doubt you will), then just forget about it. Like I said, I knew about the techniques this person was talking about, but it's not even about that, it's all about how you can put those techniques to work best for you. 7 Guidelines Before Buying A Money Making Product Or System

If you have a money making website or blog, then I can assume that you've been exposed to alot of the different how to make money salespage/salespitch out there that is currently littering the internet right now. I've bought so many money making products and systems that some of them are just taking up space in my hard drive. These guidelines are basically for the newbies out there since I know from experience that reading a sales letter sucks big time. Some of them are just too long arent they? Well, hopefully these little tips can guide you and aid you as to what to look for before handing over your hard earned money and making the same mistakes I did. With that said, let's get started. 1. Site professionalism-Before you buy a product, skim through the whole salespage and ask yourself, How does the design of the page look like? Is it well laid out? Does it look nice and clean and presentable? Did it look like the author spent some time designing his salespage? For the most part, the answer to these questions will be yes. They will have nice headers, nice graphics, bulleted points etc etc. But occassionally, you'll run into some "amateurish" websites. Basically, these websites have no graphics and no headers, maybe a catchy title and at the bottom of the page, they ask you for your email address and that's it. I personally stay away from these types of websites because all they want to do is collect email addresses before they show you their actual salespage. I don't like those so I stay away from them. Another thing you have to ask yourself when looking at a salespage is how convincing is this website? Does it grab your attention? Will this product benefit you in the long run? 2. Proof of earnings screenshots-this is another one of those things that are very misleading. You need to be very careful when looking at proof of earnings screenshots and don't let yourself get too excited when you see the amount of money these people are making. Alot of them are bogus. All it takes is a little bit of photshop and those numbers can be manipulated. What you need know about these screenshots also is that the total amount they have on their screenshots are not what they really earned (or net profit) since they also have to pay for their advertising costs. You also need to look at the amount they supposedly are earning everyday. Does it look realistic? Can you really earn that much in one day? So be wary of these screenshots. I'm not saying that they cannot be achieved, I'm pretty sure you can but that takes time. So be careful and don't buy a product based on their so called "proof of earnings." 3. Testimonials-I'm not that critical when it comes to testimonials but there are certain criteria that I look for when reading testimonials. I know that for the most part, testimonials will only include the person's first name and last name initial followed by the city and state where they are from. I'm a little bit cautious when it comes to these kinds of testimonials because sometimes they are just made up by the author. It's not hard to write your own testimonial and put a bogus name beside it, who's gonna know right? A good testimonial will usually have the first and last name of the customer, the city and state they live in and sometimes even a picture. Some testimonials even have audio on them so that can be a good thing also. I've also seen testimonials where the author will put screenshots of the email they get tellling them how good their product is so that can be a valid testimonial. 4. Price-before I buy a product, I always check the price. Unless of course you're a millionaire and don't bother to check for the price (in this case, why are you here?) Ask yourself, is this product really worth the amount they are saying? Can you afford it? Is this just a one time payment or will there be monthly payments for using this product. There were times when I would directly scroll down the bottom of the salespage first and check the price. If it sounds reasonable then that's when I would critique the salesletter. If I know I can't afford it at the moment and I'm interested at the product, I would usually just bookmark it and come back to it at a later date. I've done this for numerous products. Don't believe the "Limited Time Offers" or the "Buy this before midnight" crap. Some even have a timer saying this offer is only valid until the timer runs out. Pssh...that's BS. I've bought multiple systems a month sometimes even a year later, and they were still the same price as before. 5. Money back guarantee-I can't emphasize this enough. Always, always, look for a money back guarantee. There were times when I bought a system and found out that the information they had, I already knew or another ebook already talked about it. One word of caution though, always read their guarantee. Just because you see a money back guarantee deal on their site, does not mean that you will get your money back. Some sites will ask you to prove to them that you used their methods and show them proof, otherwise they won't give you a refund. I, personally, look for money back guarantee agreements where they say that they will give you a refund "no questions asked." That sounds better to me because sometimes, the techniques they teach just plain suck or it's already something I've done. 6. Google it for scams-this is another technique I've learned throughout the years. Before you hit the "buy it now" button because their salespage was so good and got you convinced to try their product, google it for scams. All you do is type the products name and the word "scam" after it. So let's say you found a product called "Instant fame and fortune" (this is just a fictitious product, not a real one). You then go to google, and type "Instant fame and fortune scam" You just don't know how many times this little research has saved me money and hopefully you too. Try it, you'll thank me later. 7. Visit forums-this is probably another good way for you to do research before buying a how to make money product. There are two forums I usually go to. One is called: why do work forum and the other one is warrior forum. If you go to why do work forum, click on the "Forum" tab, then look for the "Work at home forums" section. Under that title, you will see a forum title called "Anyone heard of..." Here you will find a lot of the money making products that other people have bought and you can get an idea whether it's worth buying or not. If you don't see it, just start one yourself, you'll usually get a response. If you go to warrior forum, look for the forum title "Internet marketing product reviews and ratings" Here you will find if the product you want is a money maker or a fluke. So there you go folks. This is my guidelines before I indulge in buying a make money system or product. There are exceptions of course, these guidelines here are just that...guidelines. If for example, you feel that the product is good and you know it's not a scam but the testimonies look funky where it's just the first name and last name initial, go ahead and buy it especially if people in the forums are having success with it. What I'm trying to say is that each website or salespage is not gonna have all this criteria I've listed above. In fact, I've never seen one yet. These guidelines are just my way of researching a product so I'm not out there wasting my money on every single "how to make money online" program out there. So remember folks, research, research, research. We all work too damn hard to just throw our money away. Till then...peace out!
